Journal #4 Jan 12^th/04

I’ve been trying to come up with an idea for a second novel and been failing miserably. Actually, that’s not totally true. I’ve come up with three different plots, I just can’t get interested in anything. Writing bores me lately, and I don’t know why. I used to love writing fiction, but since I’ve finished my first novel I can’t get myself ‘into’ another plot. I’m hoping this will pass, but it’s been going on for a couple of months. I’ve been forcing myself to write anyway, but I’ve had to do exactly that, force myself. I’ve never hit a really dry spell before, so it has me bit worried. I’m hoping it’ll pass with time. If not, then see myself looking at a career change already.
